Available exclusively to MODE™ Official Dealers, MODE™ Pro-Tool Hire provides the professional equipment, cables and accessories required to carry out supported ECU bench unlock and flashing procedures directly in your own workshop.
Ideal for dealers who only require the equipment occasionally, need it for a particular vehicle, or want access to supported unlocking capabilities without the capital cost of owning the tool.
Unlimited Unlocks During Your Hire
There are no per-vehicle or per-unlock charges.
During your selected hire period, you can use the equipment as many times as required — whether that's 1 vehicle, 10 vehicles or 100 vehicles.

$750 Refundable Equipment Bond
A $750 refundable bond is payable with your hire.
The bond is refunded once the MODE™ Pro Tuning equipment, cables and supplied accessories are returned complete and in acceptable condition.
Any missing or damaged equipment may be charged against the bond and/or invoiced at replacement cost.
ECU Bench Unlocking
The equipment supports workshop bench unlocking across both key MODE™ unlock systems:
PRE-2020 DEALER PATCH LOCKED ECUs
Bench unlock support for applicable pre-2020 and dealer-patch-locked ECUs.
06/2020+ MG1/MD1
Instant bench unlock support for applicable 06/2020+ MG1/MD1 ECUs.
There is no additional MODE™ charge per unlock during the hire period.
Flash Tuning
The equipment can also be used for supported ECU flash tuning.
Important: The hired tuning tool is linked to the MODE™ Pro Tuning system. All calibration/tuning files flashed using the equipment must be supplied by MODE™.
Third-party or independently supplied tuning files cannot be used through the hired equipment.

Equipment Return
All equipment supplied inside the MODE™ Pro-Tool case must be returned in the condition received.
A kit checklist is supplied with the equipment and must be completed by the dealer. All items should be checked when received and again before the kit is returned to MODE™.
Missing, lost or damaged equipment is the responsibility of the receiving dealer and may be charged at replacement cost.

This service is available exclusively to MODE™ Official Dealers.
All hired equipment remains the property of MODE™. Equipment must be returned at the conclusion of the selected hire period unless the dealer has an active annual hire arrangement.

Important Information & Disclaimer MODE™ Pro-Tool Hire is a professional trade service intended for MODE™ Official Dealers and suitably qualified automotive technicians only. The receiving dealer is responsible for ensuring the equipment is used correctly, safely and only for supported applications and procedures. ECU/DME unlocking and programming carries inherent risks. Incorrect connection, loss of power, communication interruption, improper operation, pre-existing ECU faults or other circumstances may result in programming failure, ECU corruption or vehicle faults. MODE™ does not accept responsibility for damage or loss arising from incorrect use, installation, connection or operation of the hired equipment. Vehicle, ECU and software compatibility must be confirmed before commencing work. Compatibility may vary according to ECU hardware, software version, production date and previous programming history. The MODE™ Pro Tuning Tool remains the property of MODE™ at all times. The dealer is responsible for the equipment and all supplied cables and accessories from receipt until returned to MODE™. Lost, missing, damaged or improperly used equipment may be charged at replacement cost. The $750 bond does not limit the dealer's liability to $750 where the replacement or repair cost exceeds the bond. The $750 equipment bond is refundable following return and inspection of the complete kit in acceptable condition. Refunds may be withheld or adjusted where equipment or accessories are missing or damaged. Hire periods commence and conclude in accordance with the booking/order terms. Shipping/transit time should be expressly stated at checkout or in the dealer hire terms as either included or excluded from the hire period to avoid ambiguity. All tuning/calibration files used with the hired equipment must be supplied by MODE™. Third-party or independently supplied calibration files are not permitted with the hired tool. By ordering and accepting the MODE™ Pro-Tool Hire equipment, the dealer agrees to the applicable MODE™ Pro Tuning Equipment Hire Terms & Conditions.
