If you have ever driven your Porsche Cayman GT4 hard out on track or even on the roads, you will have noticed that the car feels very soft with a lot of body roll through the corners. This is due to the Cayman GT4 being designed by Porsche as a road car and with comfort in mind as well as performance. For most owners though, performance is often more important than comfort as the Cayman GT4 is usually used more for spirited driving than cruising. 

When we were developing our own shop 718 GT4 we noticed how much the chassis rolled and moved around through the corners and under heavy braking out on track. This not only reduces driver confidence, but it holds the car back in terms of cornering performance, leading to slower cornering speeds, less effective braking performance and ultimately slower lap times. 

Therefore, our engineers developed an uprated spring package as part of our full Porsche 981/718 GT4 Circuit Handling Package Kinematics Kit using Eibach Racing Springs for maximum performance and longevity. Once fitted, the GT4 had much more stable body control with significantly reduced body roll through the corners. This allowed the car to be much more stable and controlled when cornering, ultimately allowing higher G force through the chassis and a higher speed through the corners. 

Due to high demand, we are no offering the springs from within our full kinematics kit separately so you can upgrade your stock springs in isolation if you already have other upgrades fitted to the car. 

The uprated spring package stiffens both the front and rear axle, which also improves stability under heavy braking. With a firmer spring at the front axle, dive is reduced under heavy braking which keeps the rear tyres in contact with the ground, improving turn in stability and helping to reduce understeer on corner entry. Despite being stiffer than standard, the spring rates we have developed are also perfect for road use and still offer compliance and suability out on the roads. 

The spring rates in this kit also work perfectly within the range of the OEM dampers and work perfectly with the standard shocks and PASM system.
