*** bootmod3 OBD WiFi Agent device is not required to use the bootmod3 platform. It is a convenience option that removes the need for using a laptop in the car when using bootmod3's features. If you're looking to simply load a tune on the car without much data-logging and monitoring then using your laptop is the ticket for you.

*** Vehicles with November 2019+ software updates require DME unlock done on the bench to enable OBD flashing. If you have the November 2019+ software update, feel free to contact us for support.

***Vehicles with production dates after June 2020 are currently not flashable without Femto Unlock which requires removal of DME/ECU from vehicle.

BEFORE YOU FLASH / SERIAL ACTIVATION

bootmod3 software license purchase by default includes 1 paid OTS map and you can choose the one most appropriate for your hardware modifications and octane upon license activation. It also includes any other FREE maps listed in the OTS Maps screen.

In case your modifications or octane change or you'd like to try a different OTS map more suited to your needs we offer this Unlimited OTS Maps Bundle which provides flash access to ALL of the OTS Maps available in the OTS Maps screen for your vehicle.

HOT TO INSTALL MODE X bootmod3

bootmod3 takes around 15-30 minutes to activate, unlock, setup, install and adjust on your vehicle. Detailed instructions for the installation process can be found here.

CAN I RE-SELL OR TRANSFER MY bootmod3 LICENSE?

Yes! bootmod3 is the only flash solution where the license can be resold and/or transferred to a new VIN when/if you decide to move on for any reason. Having re-sale value is a great advantage to choosing bootmod3 for your tuning which is NOT available with any other flash tune.

License transfer is restricted to the original order purchase and buyer. Transferred licenses cannot be transferred more than once.
Any previously purchased OTS maps and custom tunes by the original buyer are not transferrable due to map data incompatibilities between cars.
To transfer a license you need to flash the car with the Stock Tune AND DME RELOCKED using bootmod3 interface. Further information on the transfer process can be found here.

FLASHING BACK TO STOCK AND LOCKING THE DME WITH ANY OTHER FLASH TOOLS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. (Must be returned to stock using bootmod3)

MODE ULTIMATE OBD MOBILE DATA & Wi-Fi AT THE SAME TIME! (excluding Android OS)

To use Mobile Data at the same time as the MODE Ultimate OBD WiFi Flash Adapter (For example while downloading and flashing MODE x bootmod3 bootmod3 Ultimate Tuning Maps) you will need to adjust the Wi-Fi settings on your phone.

Android OS (all versions) turns off your Internet (mobile data) connection the moment you plug in the ENET cable or connect to the BM3_NET WiFi network. This is unfortunate default Android behavior. iOS keeps the internet just like Windows and macOS and even though all computers should behave this way, Android does not.

Go to Settings → Wi-Fi → ENET_WIFI → Configure IP: Change this from Automatic to Manual and enter the following network settings:
1. IP: 192.168.16.109 (or IP of your exact adapter)
  *Check when plugged in by going to Wi-Fi on your Smartphone*
2. Subnet Mask: 255.255.0.0
3. Router: <leave empty>
